Playing for the first time together in the Fall of 2015, songs came together quickly. By Spring 2016, many asked to record us, or stated we should record, so we thought to record ourselves and mature the songs. Never thinking the quality would be good enough for others, we slowly watched something come together with full of surprises.All the Drums were laid down first in about 3 hours. We recorded the bass tracks next and K did awesome as K has only been plays for a couple years at this point. The rhythm guitars were recorded next and M paid special attention to detail for all the guitar work. Guitar fills and acoustic tracks were also recorded by M to fatten it up. Then M's lead vocal track seem to tie it all together. We then we placed in some backups vocals and this part of the process was not a natural gift for us to accomplish. A photo shoot on the beach and 26 hours creating the artwork. Way more hours mastering by M... talk about detail! A little work making a glass master, and now more than expected would be purchased this record for their listening pleasure! This all started with the motive of maturing our music and little did we know, it started some very special. The LIBERTY scope is to create a couple videos and play some of these songs in front of a huge crowd. Something we all crave to do! The Orange Thursdays video has been completed and uploaded on February 24th, 2017.
JMK BAND is working in the JMK STUDIOS for the next record SMOOTHE JAZZ and plan to complete the record in 2021.
