This event was recorded at the North Stonington Middle School-High School grounds in North Stonington, CT. using an Android Galaxy 7 Edge and a SoundCraft Ui24R on September 22nd, 12:00PM-4:00PM. The image is a screen capture of JMK BAND from the camera video. The camera compression is evident affected by the stage and wind. Kevin Knowles, the bass player from JMK BAND used the 24 channel SoundCraft Ui24R (following image) for the stage sound and recorded 23 separate tracks for all the mics used. The tracks sound great! All MP3s are rendered at 256kbps.
The introduction for the NOSTO FEST 2018 kicked off with the first Selectman, Michael A. Urgo. Michael made more announcements throughout the event.
Introduction and the Star Spangled Banner performed by Justin Gigliello.
The North Stonington school Band was instructed and lead by the band director, Zackery Thomas. The North Stonington school chorus was lead by the Chorus director, Allison Savage. The keyboard for the chorus was performed by the elementary music director, Michael Noonan. Abby Premmit played the guitar while also singing during the chorus performance.
Abby Premmit performed covers using an acoustic ukulele.
Steven Christian performed covers using an acoustic guitar and harmonica.
The country rock band Ray Carroll and TOMB performed original songs written by Ray Carroll and the band members are: Ray Carroll on lead vox and acoustic guitar, Shawn Allen on the upright bass, Frank Limpert on electric guitar, Dean Wilkinson on electric guitar, and John M. Laabs on the drums. Frank and Dean both provided guitar amps and Frank was part of the NOSTO FEST 2018 stage crew.
Living Weary performed covers and original music. The Living Weary band is Steven Bossie on lead vox and acoustic guitar, Kevin Ryan on guitar, Brett Walter on bass, and Brandon Lanphear on drums.
JMK BAND performed 3 original songs (Mr. Dramatic, Greenstone, and When It Rains) from their future CD called, SMOOTHE JAZZ. Because of scheduling conflicts, this is the first time JMK BANG got together since the UCONN performance in April. JMK BAND still plans to complete their next record. The JMK BAND members are: Max Laabs on lead vox and electric guitar, Kevin Knowles on bass guitar, and John M. Laabs on drums. Kevin and John were part of the NOSTO FEST stage crew.
The Clarks Falls Gang perform original songs and the band members are: John Main lead vox and drums, Ed Lapinski on bass, and Robert Taylor on guitar. John Main provided the drums and was part of the NOSTO FEST 2018 stage Crew.
